Who we are

Black Lotus Labs provides software, website, mobile, e-commerce, and cloud development services. This policy applies to the website at www.blacklotuslabs.com. For privacy requests, use our contact form.

This policy describes this site's current implementation. It does not replace agreements or separate privacy notices for client projects.

Information we collect

Contact inquiries: when you submit the form, we receive the name, email address, selected service, and project description you provide. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through this general inquiry form.

Standard technical information: hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, request times, user-agent information, and access logs needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site.

Optional analytics: if Google Analytics 4 is enabled and you agree to analytics, Google may process usage events such as pages viewed, approximate geography, device/browser characteristics, and interaction data. This site does not send your contact form message to Google Analytics. See our Cookie Policy.

How and why we use information

  • Respond to your questions, evaluate projects and provide requested services.
  • Keep the website available, secure and functioning properly.
  • Improve page organization and performance through optional analytics when you consent.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and address misuse.

Depending on applicable law and the context, processing may be based on your request before entering into a contract, legitimate business interests, legal requirements, or your consent for optional analytics. Withdrawing analytics consent does not affect your ability to use the website or submit a contact form.

Service providers

Our website is hosted through Hostinger. Contact form submissions are transmitted to our configured email delivery provider (such as Brevo SMTP, Resend, or a configured webhook) and then to the receiving mailbox. Depending on the selected provider and its infrastructure, information may be processed outside your country.

If you enable optional analytics, Google's analytics services receive usage data. Some technology logos on this site are delivered through the jsDelivr content delivery network, which may receive technical request data when those assets load. These services have their own security and privacy practices.

We do not use the website's GA4 integration for personalized advertising. We do not use the contact form to intentionally sell personal information. Any future addition of advertising, remarketing, chat widgets, or other trackers requires a review of this notice and the consent controls.

How long information is kept

We keep project inquiries and related correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, a potential business relationship, legal obligations, or resolving disputes. The appropriate retention period depends on the nature of the inquiry and any resulting business relationship. Hosting and email providers apply their own log and backup retention policies. Google Analytics retention settings must be configured in the GA4 property by the site administrator.

Your rights and choices

You can reject optional analytics without losing access to the site, or reopen Cookie settings in the footer to withdraw consent later. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how we handle personal information, subject to applicable law and verification.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to object to processing, obtain a portable copy of certain data, or complain to your relevant privacy regulator. Applicable California privacy rights depend in part on whether a business meets the law's coverage thresholds.

Security and third-party websites

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a small business website, but no system can guarantee absolute security. If you follow a link to another website, its own privacy practices apply.

Questions or requests

For questions about this policy or requests concerning your personal data, please contact Black Lotus Labs and indicate that your message concerns privacy.

We may update this notice when our services, tools or legal requirements change. The updated date above indicates the latest posted revision.
